Greta DeBofsky (Ruthie) For seven years, Greta DeBofsky was corporate vice president, public relations, for Quintessence Incorporated (formerly Beecham Cosmetics Inc.) Chicago, IL, where she directed the company's corporate community and public relations activities. Prior to joining Quintessence, DeBofsky was executive vice president of Margie Korshak Associates, where she directed the public relations firm's corporate division, which she established when she joined the company seven years earlier. Although she hosted an interview program five mornings a week for several years for a local radio station, that was as close as DeBofsky got to acting until her performance as Ruth in the movie. The support and encouragement of the entire crew and cast was extremely helpful in making this new experience a delightful change from her decades-long career in public relations and journalism.
